"Forty-one+ years' ago, when I was pregnant with my first child, Jeff, I had the privilege of meeting some of the great names in photography, during the halcyon days of the Famous Photographers School, in Westport, CT, who -- amongst others -- included Philippe Halsman, Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Bert Stern, Joseph Costa, and Ezra Stoller. Who could have predicted that, one day, I would meet another great photographer -- you -- who impressed me just as much, by skillfully and genuinely capturing the unique beauty of Jeff's daughter, Emily, and her proud father? I just wanted to say a humble thank you -- not only for the beautiful photo-portraits, which Jeff presented as Christmas gifts -- but having allowed my access last September to be behind the scenes during that once-in-a-lifetime moment.
